A nice sunny and windy day with the odd very heavy squally shower. After taking Morgan for a swimming lesson the wind was howling and the sun shining so I couldn't resist a windsurf session.

The wind was a solid 30-40 knots and I was a little overpowered with my 5m rigged as flat as I could get it, but rather than go home and get a smaller sail I just hung on for all I was worth. Stuart was out on a 4.0m and looked pretty powered.

Stayed out for a while and got some big jumps and some nice little wave rides too. When it eased off a little I was perfectly powered and having a whale of a time, then I'd just have to hang on and hope for the best in the bigger gusts. The wind did drop off quite a bit at one point too leaving me wallowing up to my waist and I ended up miles downwind, but a couple of runs in the bigger gusts and I was soon back to where I started.

All in all a good, but tiring session.
